(How to go from fearful to fearless in just 21 days)
In 2019 my life was a mess.
For years I had been addicted to external validation to be happy (aka looking for love in all the wrong places).
My business was struggling.
My relationships were in turmoil with my kids, my family, and my girlfriend at the time.
From the result of years of BAD decisions, came crippling anxiety.
I was extremely moody, sad, and always worried.
I had panic attacks.
It just felt like I couldn’t get momentum in any area of life because I couldn’t get a clear mind.
Trail running was the only thing that seemed to put me into a happy place, and while I was visiting family one cold week in February, I went for a run near beautiful Park City, Utah.
Even though it was beautiful outside, I was suffering inside.
The anxiety felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest, and the swirling of thoughts in my mind was racing like a freight train.
The run wasn’t “calming me down” that day.
Suddenly, I had this memory come back about this guy on a Youtube video that I had seen nearly a decade earlier.
It was this crazy Dutch guy swimming in the ocean with icebergs all around him and running around on glaciers.
Wim Hof (The Iceman).
Then another thought entered my mind.
There was a half frozen river meandering next to me on the trail below.
“Jump into the cold river, and feel better,” the thought seemed to whisper to me.
I didn’t have a swimsuit, a towel, and most importantly, it was about 20 degrees fahrenheit outside and very cold.
But as I kept running, the anxiety kept building inside of me from the day.
I suppose I was desperate to find relief, and so I stopped at the bottom of the trailhead near my car to head to the river.
I stripped down to my underwear, and pulled my shirt off to serve as a makeshift towel.
Stepping through waist deep snow, I made it to the edge of the river.
I walked in, submerged myself, and ran out.
I probably lasted only 10 or 20 seconds at most.
But when I got back into my car, I noticed something inside of myself.
I felt alive again.
The anxiety was gone.
I wasn’t in “overthinking” mode.
My skin was tingly, and my body felt good.
And looking back, it was a small step to forgiving myself for my bad choices in life and in rebuilding myself back up.
That was my first cold plunge.
My name is Brock Cannon, and over 5 years later now, I’ve done well over 1,000 cold plunges, rarely missing a day in all those years.
I quickly went on to become a certified Wim Hof Method instructor, and for years taught Wim Hof workshops all over the United States (I still teach limited workshops to this day).
I then wanted to make the cold plunge experience more affordable and accessible to people, so my wife and I opened Kensho Studios, a premier breathwork and cold plunge studio patterned after the practice of the legendary Wim Hof.
It changed my life for the better, and since that time, I’ve been humbled to teach hundreds or people about the practice of deliberate cold exposure.
But as excited as I was about sharing this newfound practice, I discovered something…
People are scared and hate getting into cold water.
If I could collect a dollar for everytime I’ve heard, “I hate the cold,” I’d be very rich right now.
And over time I’d see people get all excited in our studio after they experienced the euphoric experience of the cold, they’d come for a few months, but then they’d quit.
It kept me up at night.
“Why do people quit cold plunging?” I’d ask myself.
I started getting very curious about what was getting in the way of people making cold plunging a real lifelong practice and I discovered it was the following things:
1-They were never properly educated on the benefits and how to do it.
2-They never built it as a habit.
3-They didn’t have a support system or peer group to lean on.
Research and science has shown that it takes between 21 to 66 days to rewire our neural pathways in our brain to create a new habit that really sticks.
And once I realized that and observed the difference in people who created cold plunging as a habit, versus those who just tried it once or twice, I knew I could help more people.
I tested it with a small pilot group, and the results were staggering.
80% of them not only completed the 21 Day Challenge, but they’ve hardly missed a day since that time.
There was a magic that started to happen when they UNDERSTOOD the benefits of cold plunging and why, created consistency in the practice, and had the support of a group.

We’ve found that people often can buy a $5,000+ cold plunge, put it in their garage, and literally NEVER use it because they are lacking the education and the community support.

Again, I’m not making medical claims here, but if you are suffering from something physically and feel like you’ve “tried everything,” this might be worth your strong consideration.
But whether you’re young and healthy, or you’re sick and fragile right now, it’s very important that you learn how to do this CORRECTLY and SAFELY.
What you don’t know, could hurt you and could even kill you if you’re reckless.
So if $99 isn’t worth it to you to learn some of the fundamentals to staying safe, making sure you’re enjoying the overall experience, and making progress, I don’t know what is.
But if you’re still reading this and this aligns with you and feels right, it’s time to get going.Write your text here
